What's better than good food with good view?
Perched atop of the hill of the Hatyai Municipal Park, there's a restaurant worth visiting famous for it fried pig trotter. A good place for lunch.
The restaurant is located midhill before reaching the peak of the hill. The restaurant is usually fully packed with locals and tourist during weekend. This photo were taken during weekday.
If you're lucky, you may get to choose window seats overlooking the Hatyai City.
Here comes the star dish!
The dish itself truly live up to how it looks. The crunchiness were addicting, the moment you bit into it. Paired with the special sweet bean-paste like soy sauce.
Beyond the crispy skin were the soft gooey-like fat/collagen + juicy flesh. Those seeking for more punch could paired it up with 1-2 slices of pickled ginger.
The must have chilly/garlic/lime -steamed fish.
Minced meat with herbs.
The pork green curry is especially good- with thick broth with sweet and peppery taste.
Fried Pineapple Rice
Fried fish? Hmm.. Not that fond of it- feels too dry for my liking.
As usual.. fried petai.. the sour sauce is really good!
The seafood Tom Yum is surprisingly good. The sweetness/sourness/spiciness is well balanced.
If you're lucky you'll see them selling this BBQ banana right outside the restaurant. The bbq banana will then be pressed flat and shimmered with thick sweet santan(coconut milk) sauce. Basically it makes a nice dessert.
