Chicken rice is also one of the main staple for locals at Hatyai. You'll see chicken rice shop everywhere around.
Their texture of the chicken is kind of different with the one we have here at M'sia. The meat is kind of tough (although the chicken is fully cooked). At first I thought the chicken might be half raw still, but after trying different eateries selling the same stuff, I have to conclude that it's their signature style of cooking- half tough!
The rice itself though is super fragrant (Thai rice cooked with chicken broth).
There are other side dishes as well.
For first timer I recommend having your chicken rice here. The environment is clean and neat.
In the long run I probably won't frequent it as much- chicken rice's not really my cup of tea. Haha.
